I've still got a few Lego trains, though I went over to LGB for my large-scale models recently. I'm not keen on the crash and rebuild approach, and the LGB models are better runners and are also more robust. Lego wouldn't survive long in the garden! On a related note, why didn't Lego make their trains to run on an existing gauge - O Gauge isn't that different and would, I suspect, have lead to increased sales.
