I dont worry about anything beond function 12.I am wading through all the different options availible via CV on the newer engines.I use the Super Chief and the DT400 throttle for me is effortless in consisting or two trains. The real problem is keeping track of the switches before you get to them and running the train itself.I have seen people start a train running and turn away from it telling a frankenstory while the unwatched train gets into trouble.
