Not a newbe
Posted by mikesmowers on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 1:01 PM
Good afternoon all. Although it looks like I am a new comer here, I am not. I used to be mikesmowers and when my computer died this morning I had to do a system recovery and lost everything. Since I cannot log in here under my old username and password, I had to creat a new account. I will keep trying and maybe (I hope mikes mowers will be back. Any advice on how I can get back on as I was?   Sorry if this is off topic.     Thanks    Mike

you should just need to log in with whatever email address (you@somewhere.com) and password that mikesmowers was attached to. Now, if you've forgotten one, the other, or both there's probably some way to find that information.

I had the same thing happen. The login is not dependant on your computer. You created a new account and logged in. Just go to www.trains.com, select Forums and pick yor forum, login with your original name and password.

I use Linux operating system and when I try a different version of Linux, I login the way I always do like abovve. I do this as I never, ever save cookies. No big deal.

I use to login the same way when I used Microsft 98.

I tried to log in as usual but since the e-mail that I was regestered under no longer works, I guess that makes so it won't work.

If you question that it is really me, (not an imposere) here is a pic of the barn I am building. I am hoping Jeffrey will help me here, I know he is a computer wiz.    Mike

It is the same thing with Photobucket, I had to open a new account.       HELP

All you have to do is go into your old account and change your E-mail. It tells you how to do this in the "help" section. If you can't figure it out, send Bergie an E-mail.

Edit-I was wondering if this was another "AL" trick, but I see the BB box so I know it's you.Laugh [(-D]

Agreed.  Just drop a line to customer service.  They've always responded to my questions very quickly.

I think he's talking about the Revell BB kit box against the wall.

I don't see the problem.  Your email provider can help you to congifure your email settings so that you restore your identity and address on any computer, including a new one, or one with a new hard drive.  I can log into this site from anywhere on the planet, and have done so.  Just go to the trains.com site, find forums, click on log-in, type in your user name and password, and I can post here from Tibet.

Yep. BB can stand for Big Boy(like the Revell Big Boy model box in the back ground of his photo) or it can stand for Blue Box such as the Athearn Blue Box kits. (you will see Athearn BB's mentioned here a lot.)

Did you make sure you were using the EXACT same password and user-name? Click the forgot username and forgot password tags and the info will be sent to your email address. Do the same for Photobucket. Also make sure that cookies are enabled and not blocked.
