ONLY if you are using Internet Explorer. That method does not work with Firefox. BB, I left you a PM about it.

Tim: I model citrus in SO CAL in N scale. Making palm trees is easy and cost less than the manufactured ones, hell and they even look better. Email me for the "how to".

Better yet, how about a forum clinic?

Jeff,
I like the structure and am wondering how you achieved the natural looking wood coloring?
Thanks,

Modeling HO Freelance Logging Railroad.
All very good pics, and no flaming.
Simon, I like the new look with the new lense, it wouldn't work on my layout though. If I were to take closeups like you have done and post them here, well.............Let the flame wars start! The last pic of the front of the loco would be great for the rivet counters.
Not much to post this week, been working on my scratch-built barn with slow progress, maybe next weekend. Mike

I've got to hit "enter" on IE 6. Spacebar doesn't work.

Enter worked for me, Thanks much by the way.

From our club's HO layout, this is a reproduction of one of the two paper mills we have in town.
The modeler that made it, is working at the mill and he had acces to the plans along with a $400.00 donation from his employer to built it.

If only the BN would have survived. I would love seeing those things rumble through town.

Once I painted this model, i kept it for a couple weeks. Not a good idea. I got attached to it, and had to sell it faster than expected. If BN would have survived they probably would have been painted in the executive scheme.

I've always wondered about their paper building supplies. It's cool to see how nice they can turn out.
They have a full line of printable textures for scratchbuilding, too. Awesome!

If you're into paper structures and even preprinted sheets for scratch-building, these are REALLY nice !!! ....

A couple of pictures for WPF. First, I stopped by Walthers last Saturday on my way to the Packers/Bears game in Green Bay. The Walthers visit turned out bettwe than the game . Here's a picture of the place. Not too many people there because it was just a few minutes before closing. They close at 1:00 CST on Saturday.
On the layout front I finsihed the container crane.
I am debating on additional detailing like some type of track/road for the crane wheels etc.

Some new shots for the weekend...Been busy cleaning the train room. Putting items in bins and labeling the bins...No fun...Been emailing Ed who has the super N scale site http://www.conrail1285.com/ and trading scenery tips. Here's a shot of the tall palms that I made. I got the idea from THE NEW SCENERY TIPS AND TECHNIQUES book Chapter 16 MODELING PALM TREES AND ORANGE GROVES.
Highway 99 through Fresno over the SP tracks. I have to blend the sky into the tree line this week. Tree line to large for N scale.
