From an attorney's point of view, I have to agree that (1) UP has every right to pursue this course of action, and (2) the value to UP of any real or imagined (and wholely unsolicited) "advertising" by way of model railroading is miniscule at best. So long as the prices do not increase dramatically (which, from what I have gathered from previous posts, the increases are not going to be noticeable), I don't think anyone should complain.
