I'm contemplating running some LGB G-scale under the tree this year - considering buying myself one of the LGB starter sets as a late birthday present, depending on how much they are at my LHS. Prices seem to vary by fairly large amounts - have seen the set I'm looking for advertised for £160 by some stores and £190 by others! On the other hand, they do have sound and a smoke unit, and I can run it outdoors come summer....
