I am the owner of an HO Slot Car Race Shop. We have two large tables (16' x 6' 4 lane and 14' x 6' 4 lane) and a small table (8' x 6') that we race on. We race every Friday and Saturday night. We have a race group that ranges in attendance of high teens to mid twenties. All total we are approximately 50+ racers strong in our group. We race for points to get trophies and plaques. The cars we race vary in make including LifeLike (the one and the same), Tomy (Super G+), Tyco (440X2), Wizzard (aftermarket company making the awesome Patriot cars), and Scale Auto (Panther). We modify these cars in several differant ways per make to create multiple classes of cars. This is a very fun hobby for boys and girls of all ages. The maintenance of the cars is much similiar to that of locomotives. Some of these cars run armatures that are identicle to locomotives, and because they also run on rails, they share a good amount of likeness.
