One would think that Soundtraxx would have the wiring /connection diagram on their website in one of their manuals. But I looked and all they seem to show are the harnessed decoders with the decoder itself wrapped in blue shrink tube.
Hard to see the forward arrow. I think that the photo you show has the front of the decoder to the left.
If that is correct: the top left pin is front right rail pickup (pin 1) the next pin just below, is pin 2. common for front light. The pin just below that is pin 3, front light control. the forth pin is front left rail pickup.
The pin to the top right is rear right rail pickup, just below that is rear light common, the next pin is rear light control. and the last pin on the right lower is rear left rail pick up
The four pins at the top middle of the board are for light functions F5 and F6. From left to right F6 control-then F6 common, then F5 control and the last is F5 common.
I don't recall, but I think that a BW1000 decoder has resistors on the board for LED's. Better check with SoundTraxx on that one because I can't recall .
Might be worth the call to them anyway just to make sure. Sure would be better than buying a new decoder.
Oooops,sorry...that's not what you asked for...I apologize.
Soundtraxx's website...click "manuals" (bottom right)...then "Tsunami quick start guide"...page 9.
Does anyone have the pin out diagram for the Tsunami BW1000 decoder - GN1000 should be the same.
I have a decoder with no diagram, and Soundtraxx doesn't appear to have one on their site either. (?)
The motor and speaker terminals are obvious, as well as where the truck leads go. What I don't know is what terminal on both ends is the blue common, and on the side that has two unmarked tabs, and two for F5 and F6 - which is also confusing as this should be a four function decoder. (?)
Mark.
