It's the Starter Set, so it's just an oval with a passing siding.  A right and left hand turnout.

As you built a more complex layout, you may have created a situation where you need to add gaps in the track to avoid shorts. Posting the track plan would help others help you.

Atlas True Track Turnouts and DCC problem
Posted by O'Ghoul on Saturday, May 19, 2012 10:54 AM

I purchased an Atlass True Track starter set and was excited to finally have some sort of operations capability, as until this point, I've only ever had the basic oval.

So I assembled according to the instructions using the included set of terminal rail joiners and as soon as one of my locomotives (Walthers GP9M with a TCS T1) crosses over the turnout, the loco stops, WiThrottle crashes, and not only does JMRI crash, but so does Java itself on my pc, requiring me to restart the computer.  This makes me think that something is shorting as the loco crosses onto the switch.

Im not sure what to do, as this is my first time with a switch of any kind, and I haven't had any problems with my Sprog 3 and the oval of EZ Track that I also have.

Thanks in advance.
