Thanks to those who responded to my question about converting my layout from analog to DCC.  You were right!  The most difficult part was removing the tangle of wiring for the analog controller and the "black box" from MRC that I used for sound (including the speakers used).  When I connected the Prodigy Express, my brand new H10-44 powered up immediately.  After programing the engine and setting some CV's, I was able to have an operating session.  Sweet!!  Now, I plan to purchase a power/sound chassis for my Stewart VO1000.  Ultimately, I want to convert my 44tonner to DCC and Sound (ESU?).   Thanks again!!
