I just installed the soundbug Decoder into a AC4400CW today and I am very pleased with the sound. I was deciding between Digitrax $56 + $5-10 speaker or Digitrax Kato board $66 with speaker. I like Digitrax but the constant problem I have always had with them is the dirty track cut out. I know the Soundtraxx has a way to add a capacitor to help control the die out but I wanted to know what the digitrax would be like anyway. I put it into a BNSF Dash 9 unit that unknowingly was not sound friendly and i dint know that until after I installed the board but it turned out to be ok. I tested it and ran it MU'd with a couple of other Katos and I just wanted to share my satifaction with it. The bell level was very low and I was able to bring it up to max so that was fine. The engine sounds great! Highly recommended for the AC4400CW over Soundtraxx now. The other functions are good and sound good too like the horn and dynamic brakes. If it didnt sound and run good you can trust me that I would surely say so. I have not heard people expressing their opinions about this decoder as I have for Soundtraxx and Loksound. Have people dumped all hope on these decoders because of Loksound? Loksound is out of my willing to spend price range and I do not want to become a computer engineer to upload various sounds. LOL Now I only wish that digitrax offers these same decoders RTR specifically for the SD70Mac, SD70M, SD60M and SD70ACe units
