Can someone describe how to wire a DCC friendly wye. I've seen reversing loop configurations but not a reversing wye.

You just have to isolate it from the main line at all ends with double gaps just like you would a loop.

Like a loop, it must be longer than the powered portion of your train.

Then power it with a reversing unit like the Digitrax AR1.

Welcome to the forum!

This website provides a pretty good explanation of how to wire a simple wye or reversing loop:

The rest of the website is a pretty good resource for all things DCC. I find myself referring to it quite often!

Good luck!

The easiest way is to choose the leg of the wye that is dead ended (assuming it has one) and isolate it.  This can be easily done by using insulated railjoiners on both tracks coming out (point side) of its turnout.
