Locobuffer II USB Availible?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 15, 2008 8:35 AM

I see that Tony's Trains Webpage has the Locobuffer Two USB device listed as being availible mid-feb.

Well, has anyone been able to actually recieve this item yet? If so was it from Tony's? Or another vendor?

The Locobuffer II was replaced by the USB Locobuffer.

On Tony's Train Exchange website, they have the LocoBuffer USB listed in two places. If you look under products by manufacturer, it's under RR-CirKits, and if you look under products by type, it's under PC software and accessories. Apparently, they just forgot to update the listing under PC software and accessories because it still says epected in mid Feburary.

Does the locobuffer require a Digitrax system? I would love to be able to use it and JMRI to program my loco's from my laptop, but I have an MRC DCC system so obviously don't have a loconet bus.

Sorry, but Locobuffer only works with Loconet.  MRC is supposed to come out with a PC interface.

I ordered one. I will post more after I recieve it and learn how it all works.

I am looking forward to leaving the sea of CV's and moving to programming by PC.
