There are 15 or so approved NMRA LCC standards. There are 4 that have been submitted for public comment before being finalized and submitted to the NMRA Bod for approval. These standards, unlike other NMRA standards, are not directly useful to the individual user, unless you are making your own components. They are standards for interchangibility just like DCC standards exist for interchangibility. </p> <p>The intent is to have a compatible components from different manufacturers that can be used together in one system, instead of a bunch of different proprietary systems that have no interchangeable components. </p>
