<p>[#welcome] fellow Hoosier!</p> <p>From your description of the problem and when it began to occur, it sounds as if glue got into the rail joiners as others have pointed out. Combined with the possibility that there is glue on the railhead, from the same ballasting operation, and that your wiring has been re-checked, this is likely the source of your troubles. The glue is somewhat hard to remove, last time I did it I had to use decent pressure on the track cleaning block.</p>
