Maybe you've looked at the TCS site already.  The link below shows how they have a WowSound kit that includes circuit boards and speaker for an RS3.

http://www.tcsdcc.com/Customer_Content/Installation_Pictures/HO_Scale/Atlas/RS-3%20Sound/Atlas%20RS-3%20_WOW121-Diesel%20and%20AK-MB1.html

If you look at the following "product" page and open the "literature" tab you will see they have (or will have) different kits for the RS1 and the RS3, but don't mention the RS2.  I don't know the internal differences. Note they remove one of the weights completely.

So maybe you could adapt one of the WowSound kits to the RS2.  If someone here can't illuinate that just call WowSound and ask.

You might also consider the ESU LokSound decoders.  I like to use the Select 6Aux, which is a ciircuit board capsule that I hard wire in.  It's smaller than the Select "Direct" board.  I did two Kato RS2s with it.  I reduced the light pipes as needed and glued new LEDs to the lens or reduced length light pipes.  I added dual 13x18mm sugarcube speakers to the long hood roof.  I may have ground down the weight a bit for room beneath the long hood.  To minimize depth, rather than make a styrene speaker enclosure, I glued the speakers directly to the roof curve and added styrene ends to the rather teeny resulting enclosure.

The video below is the result for the RSC2 (just different trucks from the RS2).

My assumption is that you want to run it on DCC.  There are some helpful pics in a thread I started about the RS1

I have not started that project quite yet.

Sorry NO it's a DC Layout.  I want to add sound to the DC Loco like a BLI Paragon 2

Which BLI? Steam or diesel?

Try to be more specific like your first post.

BLI Paragon 2 decoders are DCC dual mode decoders, meaning they will run on DC and DCC, as are most decoders nowadays.  You may or may not need access to a DCC programming track to program the decoder for DC operation (manufacturers may vary on this).

Sorry for the confusion. Both my Paragon 2 & 3 one steam one diesel run on both DC and DCC.  When I run them on my DC Layout they have Start-up Runnung, break and shut-down sound.  I would like to add this feature to my Atlas RS-1 & 2 Locomotives if possible.

Will this set-up work on a DC layout?

I'm not the guy that can answer that, I did not know that variety of sounds was available for DC.  I'll be following this thread as I have not fully commited to going DCC.  While most people are happy they made the switch, some seem to have unending problems.

I did find this older thread.  Don't know if it still entirely accurate as regards the latest stuff.
