nonsound decoders

I have 2  U50's &a turbine all athearn, im not putting in sound at this moment i just want motor &light plug & play but every link i dig up brings meto sound decoders ugghhh any links would be helpful,  thanks

So for a decoder recommendation we will likely need the item numbers off of the boxes.  TCS, NCE and several other manufacturers make dozens of different decoders, many of which are plug and play. 

Are these locomotives equipped with a DCC quick plug (8 pin or 9 pin JST)?

Please note, you need to know the motor current draw while running and stalled (motor not turning).  This will guide you in decoder selection.  1amp continuous "should" work for most HO applications. 

TCS - T series decoder (read the options and pick the one you want)

By the way, current draw should not be a problem in new locomotives (as opposed to new old stock), but its best to check anyway in case something is wrong. The locomotives have to run properly on DC before installing a decoder. The decoders will not cure running problems.
