I have an issue with the sound on my locos when turning them around on the turntable. Most of them lose sound briefly and then return as the TT rotates. However, the Intermountain diesel goes off and stays off till I advance the throttle or hit a function key. The audio hesitation on all locos is probably in the TTs reversing electronics but the Intermountain has be baffled. Could it be a programming issue or an inherant flaw in the decoder?

I'm sure the pause is caused by the TT reversing polarity. Some sound decoders, like Tsunamis, won't make a sound until you move the throttle a little. At least that's how the one I installed in my FM switcher works. I can blow the horn or ring the bell, but the engine sound doesn't start until I move the throttle up. If there's a CV setting to get around this, I haven't figured it out yet.
Some decoders can be programmed not to make sound till they get their first command, or till you press a certain function key (loksound)
That would explain your intermountain.
