I have a decoder I ordered and it took along time to come in, I wanna say its a QSI Revolution but it could be a soundtraxx tsunami. Its factory programed for a PRR M1 Mountain, can those decoders be reprogramed to diesel sounds? Needing a sound decoder for a EMD SD9 Thanks Mike

The decoders come in a little plastic bag with the decoder info stapled to the bag. The company name will be on the bag.
The Tsunami cannot be reprogrammed. Don't know about the QSI.
Simple solution.
Go to the SoundTraxx site and read what the site says about the decoders. There are pictures and sound samples.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
QSI decoders can be reprogrammed with any of the sound sets that QSI has. However you need their Quantum Programmer to do so. It's not worth it for just one (assuming in the future you will make sure to order the correct decoder). Some of the DCC retailers will probably be able to do the reprogrammign for you to get the correct sounds.
If it's a Tsunami, you'll have to take it back and get the correct one. If it's unopened you shoudln;t have any problem swapping it out for an identical one with the correct soudns, there's no price difference for the sounds, just for the type (one with wires vs the Athearn board replacement style, for example).
