It was not designed for any railroad. And if you check the model carefully you will find a few minor differances. <br /> <br />As for the size of the cab I would expect one or two flagmen or breakmen would also have ridden in the cab as most small industial switching lines did not use a caboose. <br /> <br />Bottom line it is a very good engine and could be used on any size layout.
