I'm looking for a copy of "The Art of Weathering" by Martyn Welch. Does anyone have a copy they'd part with or know of a place to purchase one?

Hi,

Sorry I do not know where you are, so don't know if this helps. Amazon.co.uk appears to have the book that you want. It is a British book it seems. Try this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1874103119/202-2882603-1600623

To find anyone who has a copy you might be better putting your request on the general forum.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. I did try the UK but they seem to be out of the book too.
I will try the general forum to see if anyone has a copy they'd like to sell.
thanks for the tip.

It is a British book published in 1993. I did a quick web search and found one copy for $83 which is a bit high for a softcover book !! You'll just need to check ebay (and ebay UK) and do web searches on it, eventually a copy will turn up there or at a flea market etc. IMHO it's worth the trouble, it's the bible of weathering.

You can get this book from International Hobbies in Auburn California. The catalog that I've got from them shows it as item number 18741031193: The Art of Weathering by Martyn Welch. It's published by Wild Swan in England. The listed price is $34.50, and there would be a $6.00 shipping and handling charge. Although I don't have this particular book, I do have other books from Wild Swan amd they're very nice.

International Hobbies is vey easy to deal with. They've got a web presence, but no on-line catalog, at: http://www.interhobmodels.com/ They can also be contacted at

Auburn CA 95602 USA

Tel: 530-268-8715
Fax: 530-268-3847

One of their catalogs is defintely worth having. The book list included in the catalog is worth the price alone.
