what do you think of Life-Like locomotives?

just wondering what y'all think of life like ho scale locomotives. I have two a gp 38-2 and a gp40ph (neither is proto 2000) each one came with a train set ,the gp 38-2 is okay but only the front truck drives so it doesn't pull more than 10 cars the motor has some gear noise (not bad) the gp40ph is almost worthless it takes off and stops way too fast-as a result it can't keep cars on the track and makes lots of noise--if not L-L what is your preferred brand of loco?

If you check, the topic of this forum is "Phototype information for the modelers". What does your post have to do with that topic?

Now that the topic is "What do you think of Life-Like Locomotives," my answer is that they're prettier than the norm of intro-level toy trains, but their couplers are a little too high for my Bachmanns. Also, while no one would confuse the solidity of Bachman with a Hummer, for me they have performed better than Life-Like. They just seem more solidly grounded and less prone to error while operating.

Actually, the author has appropriately moved the above topic to the "General Discussion" forum. All further comments should be posted there.
