The original GP9's were all high hood and were puchased between 1954 to 1957 for the last group. They owned 324 all total including the B units. The GP9's on the UP ran low hood forward compared to the GP7's running long hood forward on the UP. <br /> <br />The first low nose units were the SD24's in 1958 and they owned one hight nose SD24 that was the demostrator. <br />I cannot speak of any other units that they might have received with mergers, but they did not buy any GP9's with the low nose.
