About when did CN start adding their web address to locos?  And about when did they stop painting zebra stripes?  Thanks!

When they realized most of their people could not remember it.

After their zebra died, and they lost their model.

This topic recently came up on the CNRHA Yahoo group.  He're a repost of a reply by Chris vanderHeide that sums it up.

Also remember that even when they switch paint schemes, any given loco may retain it's old paint for a considerable time.  So even though they stopped applying zebra stripes when they introduced the CNNA "continent" logo in 1993, you may still find locos wearing them.

General timeline of CN paint schemes goes something like:

Green & yellow - ~1950s
New CN image & logo. All black locomotive with large logo on hood and red ends. Passenger cab units in "Sargent" stripes (45degree angle slanted backwards) - 1961
"Zebra" stripes (60degree angle) introduced on road units. Switcher scheme similar to the old scheme but entire cab now red - late 1970s
CN "North American" map logo scheme, with red cab and single white stripe behind cab - 1993+
"Modern" CN scheme - same as the North America scheme but with standard large logo, map dropped - 1995
http://www.cn.ca URL added below the logo around 2002 or so.
15th anniversary (since privatization) special logos applied to select units in 2010.
