what cars would a EMD 103 usaully pull??

just aquired a EMD 103 (Amtrak) and was wonder what cars it would usually pull? any help and info would as always be very useful.

I have to assume you are asking about the AMD-103 (Amtrak Monocoqe Design) which was actually built by GE. EMD is Electromotive division of General Motors.

The AMD-103 is also known more familiarly by P40DC and several variations.

To answer your question, you can run just about any Amtrak equipment you can get your hands on! They are still being used to carry the latest Viewliner II cars and on back to Superliner I and II and Amfleet I and II along with "heritage" cars and the Horizon cars.

I saw three of them at St.Paul Union Depot earlier this morning, at the head of the Empire Builder. There was a standard height baggage car, the rest of the train were Superliners.
