Anyone have any photos of patched Locos bought from different railroads?
Or suggestions where to find photos of that sort?
Look around the RR Picture Archives site:

I assume you're talking about lease units, so try HLCX and CEFX as likely candidates.
If you're looking for units sold from one railroad to another, you need to have some working knowledge of your chosen railroad's roster. But there's plenty of examples of that out there too.

Here's one of my favorites! Three owners represented here, the old NYC cigar band paint beneath a very thin coat of Penn-Central black and a PC "patch" on the door and the current number is under Amtrak ownership... aah, the '70s!

Hope you don't mind me taking the liberty Ed.
Cheers, the Bear.

Thanks, Bear...
Forum is acting up on me again! In some reply windows I get the option for inserting video and picture. In THIS section I only get text options (cut, copy, paste- then search and emoticon).

How do I find other threads on these Model RR forums about patch jobs?
Search Providence and Worcester #582 its a Dash 7-40BW (or -39BW cant remember) they basically painted over the BNSF and painted simple PW on the sides, and their logo on the front and back.

also rr-fallenflags.org has a lot of photographs from railroads that dont exist. I know a guy who has a bunch of slides of red and yellow SP- -SF locomotives from the failed (or rather ICC prohibited I believe) merger time period.
