Just about any modern car in interchange service will ride on roller-bearing trucks. These have the triangular or hexagonal wheel caps on the ends of the axle that turn with the wheel. <br /> <br />Today, older style friction-bearing trucks might be found on maintnence cars and in museums. Model railroader ran an excellent article a few months back (I forgot which issue) that goes into great detail explaining the types of trucks, the different variations, and when the trucks were used.
