Missouri Pacific Branch line Kingman to Larned
Posted by Texas Zepher on Thursday, May 28, 2009 2:19 PM

The Missouri Pacific had a branch line from Kingman to Larned.   Based on one source I think this was called their Larned branch.   I am looking for any operational information that I can find on this branch.  After 1937 was it still a mixed train daily operation so typical in Kansas, or did it degrade into a freight only tri-weekly?  I once saw an RS3 in Stafford (1966-1967 time period), but don't remember a coach.  This was about the same time the AT&SF was discontinuing all their mixed train dailies.

Does anyone know of anything or any interesting places to research this out?

the january 1955 official guide shows that line as freight service only if that helps.
