in order to install them must you remove any fans so they fit flush on the long hood this is for gp7s and 9s? rambo1.............

 I think the fan needs to come out on a GP9 with 48" fans.  I have a pair, but I did it so long ago I forgot.  The fans are separate parts, easy to pop out if needed. 

On the GP7, the fan might stay in place.  The fan stays on a SD7.  Should be a dimple inside the shell to drill the locating holes.

I have several Proto2000 GP7s and the hatch fits right over the fan. Just drill out the holes for the mounting pins, as marked on the inside of the shell.
