Need some info quick.(my round depends on it)
When did the BNSF repaints first appear and was the SPSF tryout before or after. My Modellers only go back to 88 and I got lost in the archives, not for the first time.
So thanks for any help up front.

The failed-merger SPSF scheme ("Shouldnta Painted So Fast") was in the mid-1980s. An SPSF loco photo website has photos dated 1985 to 1989.

THE BNSF merger was executed at end (Dec.31) of 1996, so it is likely there were no BNSF merger scheme repaints before the merger.
