Colors-Paint
Posted by Huge Engine on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 2:08 AM

Hello,

I'd like to make an Engine with UP Scheme, eg: AC4400, where could i find the "true color" & especially the "Armour" yellow or is anybody know the "mix" of different colours for this special scheme since shipping overseas is prohibited for this kind of products ?

(same for BNSF)...

Thanks a lot in advance,

Cheers,

You may not be able to ship the Floquil brand paints overseas, due to the solvent base, but there are acrylics and even some water based paints that sell the colors you're looking for. Try a search on the Walthers website for "yellow" (and BNSF colors) under the "Paints" heading.

You may also be able to find an AC4400 in UP or BNSF colors as a ready to run.

Thanks for the reply&infos.

I have already several UP & BNSF Engines.

What do you think about Tamiya colors/paint ?
