Does anyone know of any free software for track layout? If so what do you think of it?

http://www.atlasrr.com has some freeware available.

I've tinkered with it a little. Didn't like the user interface much but I didn't invest invest much time in it, either.

I've used RightTrack Freeware 5.0 which is available at: http://www.atlasrr.com/ This software is actually pretty good at doing what it does which is creating layouts using Atlas sectional track. That being said there are some serious limitations: Support for other lines of track, limited flextrack manipulation, etc. There is support for structures from Walthers, DPM, Atlas and Life Like. The ability to add components or create a library of cutom made components would make this program more widely usable, but hey it's free!

regards
