You migt try going to a web site that has aerial/satellite photos - like terraserver.com - to see if there's enough detail for what you're looking for.. It's pretty unusual for an actual track plan to be fully replicated, in any scale, leave alone O, due to the amount of space required. (As an extreme example. UP's Bailey yard is around 8mi long - that's what, around 800-900 ft in O scale!)

....no, not at all.
It is just the name of my website, i didn't know there is a company called similar.
I am planing a modern 0 scale railroad, and i need some detail information about the real trackplans. I want it to be as realistic as possible.
I always spend a lot of time in America, but there is no way to get to the tracks of a big freight yard.
And since 9/11 everything has changed anyway, what i understand.
However, i didn't find something in the net.
Any information is needed.

Best Regards

Best would be original trackplans from CSX and NS.

Thank You !
Real railroads do not have trackplans like those used by modelers. There are property and right-of-way maps, but these are usually kept in safes and only removed when needed by the real estate or engineering departments. Track diagrams are sometimes available, but these are not to scale and everything is drawn in a straight line, with straight tracks shown as solid lines and curves as dotted lines, with the degree of curvature and the length of the curve shown. Information such as when the rail and ties were last replaced and the weight of the rail are shown on these.

Are you employed by RailAmerica in Boca Raton? I was not aware they had any operations in Germany.
