I realize I just screwed up down in the garage. After cutting the homosote I bought today, I didn't think and I went and painted it. I always glue the homosote down onto the plywood with yellow glue first, then paint it with latex brown.

Anyone suggest what I should use now? The yellow glue container says to use it only on bare wood (the plywood is bare, only the homosote is painted). Anyone try it on painted surfaces anyway?

The layout is a little shelf type thing in my home office.

The yellow glue tried really fast, and no bad fumes ------ I worked in the room as it dried. Are any of the construction adhesives fast drying without bad fumes? The windows have to be closed, with the a/c running in the room, because it is an office.

Thanks
Jim
