I've never had a big layout, but ,am I doing something wrong? In 40 years of O ,HO, and 4 in N gauge, my ONLY problem with derailment comes from one single 25 year old atlas N switch that my uncle gave me. (and this is seldom) Never any problems with track, even the stuff that came with my daughters Bachmann 4-4-0 frontiersman set ! She is 8 now and runs hers (and my atlas gp7's) at 200+mph scale! Like I said , I've never had a fancy or big layout, but derailments have never been an issue...am I cursed? WHAT are the reasons for derailments?...again, great layouts & photo's people!!! Thanks, see-ya...dougreed
