"Weeds" is just a darker green color.

I use Woodland Scenics blended turf as a base, then add assorted other colors, including weeds, to add variety to the landscape.

There are lots of greens in nature. Using a variety makes me happy.

I usually apply the various colours of ground cover at random, and often do the same when making trees...

......and if I don't like it, it's easy enough to go back over it with a re-do.

I tend to do the same with trees, but if you want darker colours, you could probably try altering small quantities of it using water-based acrylic paints....simply dump some of the ground cover into a suitable container, then add some paint, then spread it out to dry.
Another option would be to apply the ground cover of your choice, then airbrush it randomly using the water-based acrylics available at most Dollar Stores.

Woodland Scenics Weeds Fine Turf

Curious about the approximate color of the Weeds Fine Turf product. I have used their blended green fine turf, but it is a bit on the light side. Is the weed mix any darker? Some of the photos of the blended fine green turf show a really dark color - but that isn't what the actual product looks like. Just hoping what I see in the photos of the Weed Fine Turf is fairly accurate.

Thanks,

RH
