Howdy All,

I'm in the planning and design phase to model the late 1970's - early 1980's L&N / Family Lines System operation from Danville Illinois North to Chicago.

The layout will be N-Scale. Preliminary design drawings allow a two-level, around-the-wall walkaround design with two peninsulas. The design also allows for a hidden staging yard under the lower level in order to model some of the MoPac operation between Woodland Jct and Chicago.

I'm hoping to build in a modular format to allow ease of setup and takedown in case I need to use my garage as, well.. a garage! Aw heck, who are we kidding, I live in Phoenix Az, who needs a garage out here? [;)]

Anyone else modeling this Subdivision or Family Lines operations in general around this era?

Mike Collier
Phoenix Az
