<p>An acquaintance of mine, to whom I have sold my last remaining piece of US-prototype equipment, has asked me to design a layout for him.</p> <p>Unfortunately, I seem to be stuck in an "analysis-paralysis" - rut and need some help to get out of it.</p> <p>Here are some of his givens & druthers:</p> <ul> <li>HO scale, standard gauge</li> <li>Atlas Code 83 track</li> <li>Branchline operation, set somewhere in the 1970´s - no road name favored, yet</li> <li>Low budget for building the layout</li> <li>Shelf-type layout, depth of the shelf max 18" to 20"</li> <li>Along the wall, no continuous running</li> <li>1 - 2 train operation</li> </ul> <p>His "train room" looks like this:</p> <p><img src="http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv185/SirMadig/Raum1.jpg?t=1286637708" style="max-width: 550px;" border="0" /></p> <p>Any idea is welcomed!</p> <p> </p>
