Scratch Telephone Poles (HO)

About how big around/high would an HO scale telephone pole be? I have some thin round dowels in my workshop that might be good for those.

Albert,

On average, they should be 30' tall, ~1' in diameter.  Bob Grech put together a very nice tutorial on making scratch-built telephone poles.  Here's a picture of one from his web site:

You could either e-mail or PM Bob directly for details.

Also, Rix makes a very nice inexpensive styrene telephone pole kit for ~$5.  While cheap in price it's NOT cheap in quality.  The kit should yield you ~15 telephone poles - with 1 to 5 crossarms on each.

Those are nice. I like their highway overpasses too. I may have to place an order.
