My brother's wife is an amateur painter.So i am thinking to ask her to paint my background.Do you think it will work?

Sure. I have seen a lot of pictures in this forum of those who hand painted their back drops. Perhaps some will respond to your question with pictures. And there are Kalmbach tapes and books which give ideas on painting back drops.

If you use acrylics it is not hard to change the results if you don't like it or need to start over. One warning.... are you up to telling your inlaw you don't like it if it turns out bad, or you decided not to use the results? I'd think carefully about this one.
