WS Riser System Question
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, October 14, 2006 12:38 PM

Does anyone use these systems (Risers and Inclines)?

How wide are they?  The info provided online doesn't indicate width and these might be the ticket for my slot car track too.

I am putting a slot car track wth my train track, and prototypically there should be a depression in the median between them for drainage reasons.

I have 1 x 3/1 x 2 'L' girders drying now, and I am in the planning stage of making this all happen.

I could do the Wincott girder/joist benchwork or a cookie cutter style system.  My issue with the first style is going below grade to make these drainage ditches when I am perpendicular to my joists.  If these risers are close to the same width as HO slot car track, then that solves the problem and I just go girder/joist and cookie cut my ply for grades above 4".

Any thoughts out there?

I just had a look at my local suppliers site for W.S stuff

www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com

If you navigate to the W.S page, theres the full list of all thier risers. They all seem to be 2'1/2" wide.
