Yard OPS 101. Some fun with XtrkCad
Posted by Tom Bryant_MR on Saturday, March 4, 2006 6:42 AM
Have to go to work in a few hours so no trains for me today and probably tomorrow [:(!]

However, been working on my layout design and tweaked my yard a bit this morning. I caught 5 "snapshots", as it were, in XtrkCad of a train pulling into Taylor yard and having the consist dispersed.

I'm no expert on yard ops believe you me. But I'm having fun learning. [:)]

Train pulls into arrival track

Loco decouples and yard goat grabs consist

Consist clears yard turnout

Goat pushes consist into ladder

Park that baby

Tom,

Looks good! Now all you need to do is start cutting some benchwork lumber....and then you can play with real trains instead of the ones on your pc...lol!
