[:)] A small electonic device called a <font face="Arial"><b><i>decoder</i></b></font id="Arial"> is placed in each locomotive and receives digital signals from the <font face="Arial"><i><b>Command Station </b></i></font id="Arial"> through the rails. <br /> <br />Basically, the command station puts out a constant voltage to the rails.
