For gaps have you discovered the thin Gyros "saw blades" rather than using the thicker cut off disks? Dremel used to make them but stopped for some reason a few years back. The cut it makes is as thin as an Atlas track saw makes, and because the blade is bigger diameter, the gap ends up being more vertical.
