I don't know???

I'll go find it and see if I can help.

Also, weekends seem to be better for answers as there are more people here. Just a thought.

One thing I have noticed is that there is alot more people on the forum lately with alot more posting going on so sometimes a good post gets bumped off the first page rather quickly and is lost, Spacemouse is right, edit it and move it back up to the 1st page,
dont get me wrong I like the fact that more people are on the forums it good for the hobby.

One other suggeston would be to limit each post to one major question, or very related questions. The post you mentioned asked about flex track vs sectional track, turntables, and scenery. While each one of those by itself can be answered, sometimes people just kind of feel overwhelmed by the idea of trying to answer everything. Like I say, just a suggestion.

Also, try being as specific as possible when asking. For example, you asked "what is a good turntable". Well that depends on what you're looking for in a turntable. "Good", like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Help us out here, for example you could help narrow the responses by giving some idea of the following in your original post:
- How big does it need to be? (what's the longest loco you are likely to want to turn?).
- Is price a concern? (usually, but not always, better correlates with expensive).
- How important is realistic detail? (the Atlas turntable is a great entry level turntable, cheap, reliable, but may not be acceptable to someone who insists on having a turntable with a pit.)

Just some suggestions to help you get more responses to your next questions.

Regards

Ed

One important consideration in posting topics is how you title the subject, so somebody who is interested and may have some information on the subject will be motivated to open and read it. Does the subject line tell you anything interesting?
Your topic title "HOW COME????" suggests some kind of a question, possibly controversial, but who knows.
"How come" might suggests a subject like
why doesn't Amtrak run trains on the sames schedules and stop at all the stations that trains did in 1955?
Or it might suggest a thread about, why doesn't some model manufacturer make TT scale live-steam models of B&O Dockside tank locomotives in Alaska and Northern roadname?

Someone who guesses the thread might be about a controversy that interests them and then finds out it doesn't may click on your thread, wait for it to open, and then close it hack without comment, saying to themselves "That wasted MY time!"

Someone who might have similar feelings or interests to yours may never open it, because they have opened "blind" topics a number of times before and found nothing of interest.

Here are a number of what I would call generic topics. They sound so much like ones you have seen before that you don't know if you have read it before or not.
--MY new layout plan...
--A quick question...
--Now guess what?
--Help me with my layout.

Imagine instead subject lines that TOLD you something--
Plan for entire Santa Fe RR in 2 foot square "O" layout.
Help! Did new DCC decoder on one loco cause another loco to fry?
Scenery materials for Louisiana Swamp scene.
Underbody colors in the 1930s

Well, that is my soapbox. Hope you make some worthwhile connections, and
"HAPPY RAILROADING!"

Keith,
By now, I hope you realize that members ARE trying to answer your questions. And your questions are getting better, more detailed and more precise. Hope it all helps.
Keep up the good work and ask away!
