Looks like we're all correct concerning the ease of use, flashing list's, etc, at Demar site. Just depends on software.

I did not and do not claim to be an expert on Demar. Just wanted to pass on some economical info!

I don't use any connector on my Tortise machines. In my opinion it's a waste of money! The machines already cost and arm and a leg so why spend more to save a few minutes to change out a failed machine.

Although I've only been using Tortise machines for three years, I have not had any failures. Even if they did fail, the cost replacing a machine wired with a connector ($2 +-) versus the time involved in changing out 5 to 8 wires would not be justified even though time wise it would probably take only a few seconds. I'd estimate it would take me less than two minutes to remove the feed wire's from the old terminal strip and put them on a new terminal strip. By the way, all of my Tortise machines are prewired with a 2'-3' harness and solder terminal strip. And yes, it did take a while to prewire the machines but I held a wiring "party" and six or seven members of my operating group sat around a table and did the first batch of 75 in 2-3 hours.
