As Ed says, yes CVP will run a loco in DC mode. I would not personally choose this feature as my reason to go or not to go with a system. Since as Ed points out, DC operation mode in any DCC system is marginal at best. I have CVP Easy DCC and it really is easy to use and I find the wireless to be simple to operate and very reliable.
