I don't expect to quit learning until they're shoveling dirt in my face. (I always thought the paste flux had a bit of acidic material in it.) I meant that acid core solder has no use known to me around the railroad. With rare exceptions, clean metal will "tin" with rosin core. <br /> <br />tebo41, GM, B&FtN
