I use different colors of dirt on my layout all the time. Here in Fla., we have sand, marrow(med to dark) & dirt dirt. I pour a thin coat of Elmers glue in the area that I am going to cover w/dirt & sprinkle it till I get it all covered. <br />Before I use it on the layout I sift it. Never had bugs. I do have an occasional Lizard ride in my box cars though. [8)][censored]
