Laying out a 151' Curved Snow Shed

I am building a curved 150' Snow Shed or Rock Shed whatever you would like to call it. The arch is at the top of a 20 degree radius.

My  question is this.

Do I measure out from the center of the track keeping it at 90 degrees to the track which expands the top a the curve a little more each time and leaves the inner side at the same spacing?

i am finding your question very confusing and do not understand it.  Could you rephrase it please.

Yeah, I must admit to also failing to understand your question.

 

Looking at prototype photos, curved snow sheds, like curved tunnels, appear to have the walls, within reason, equidistant from the track centre line.

 

However, as Model Railroaders, we have to use curve radii, due to space considerations, far tighter than would be seen on the prototype.

 

What I’d do in your situation, is after laying the track is get my longest locomotive and or piece of rolling stock, place them on the track and whilst moving them, use a pencil attached or held to the side, to mark the outside, and more particularly inside radii of the curve. This will give you the required clearance to run your trains without interfering with the snowshed’s walls.

does 151' mean 20.8" and 20 deg arc mean 39.5" radius curve for HO?
